And yet by all accounts, Omar Howard was a changed man. Since 2010, he has served as chaplain of the Atlanta Transitional Center in Midtown. In 2011, he founded Freedom Is a Choice Inc., a mentoring program for at-risk teens. He's a featured speaker in the documentary "Released: When Does the Sentence End?" produced by the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District and most recently Iyanla Vanzant's "Fix My Life" show on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
